I literally am. A couple of weeks ago I tipped my scale up to what I weighed at the end of my pregnancy with Tim. DEPRESSING. I really do love New England, but for some reason I have felt unable to do the things that kept me active before. Don't get me wrong, there are millions of things to do, but so many of them cost money. As a poor college student family, we can't spend too much on activities. The ($$$) price on gas doesn't help either. These are still blah-blah-blah excuses. I can quit wussin' out and go for a walk in the cold if all else fails or pop in a workout tape, but it doesn't seem as easy as before. Before I had at least 2 nights a week at the pool for scuba plus lifting tanks back and forth for customers etc...and open water certifications at various places each month. I also used to go for walks and bike rides almost every morning. Now I'm a slug on the rug.
So.........time to make a change. Since the super scale performance, I have been trying to watch my calories and re-integrate myself into exercise. Wow! It is hard! I never thought I would let myself get this out of shape! I'm using sparkpeople.com to help monitor my calories and exercise. It's free and the website is very user friendly. The part that seems to have my punching gloves up the highest is calories. I had no clue I could pack so much away. My sweet tooth and my lovely ground beef recipes throw the calories through the roof. I have found, however, that apples are my new best friend.
Okay, okay. I'm going to do this! But, dang-it-all, it's not going to be easy!

Amy, I am right there with you on this one. I did pretty good on weight watchers last year, but I've slowly slacked off, and well....suprise, the scale is creeping back up. I'm going to try and do better, epecially after my cruise (I'm sure I'll really need to then). Keep me posted on what is working for you! Monica
I used sparkpeople after I had Caroline. I liked the spinning wheel and the points. It was fun, and it did help me get into better shape.
Post-Wes, I'm doing a biggest losers group with 40+ women at church. It's hard dropping some bad habits and integrating good ones. This week we're not supposed to eat after 7pm....talk about hard!
Good luck. Oh, and spark people has some good recipes too!
Amy, I know exactly how you feel. It sucks having to watch what you eat. One site I really like is CalorieKing.com. It gives you the amount of calories in about anything. They have some really good recipies I'm even going to hopefully try out a fat free brownie recipie this weekend. I've also bought a weight watchers cook book that I used a ton last summer. Good Luck and if you need support I'm here!
Yeah, I've been fighting that dang fat forever. I've been going to the gym and doing alot more than I've done is the past, I swear, that fat is so sticky it won't come off. So yeah I totally understand what you're talking about, but I still love ya and still think you are beautiful no matter what.
Amy,
You are just such a cutie... I feel the same way, after 6 pregnancies: Lupron & other infertility meds. I want to start back up, it seems after you hit 30 your body changes. Good Luck, your such a doll.

Shalise
