I just finished reading the book, Snowflower and the Secret Fan, by Lisa See. It was an interesting view of a different culture. I love being a woman and recognize we have (right now in this present day) some strange traditions to be and stay beautiful, but footbinding? Wow! It made me step back and think about what things I do to myself to be "all that".
It also made me feel another pang of gratitude for all my sisters and girlfriends who relate and give me comfort as well as share in all the happy times. I don't think the bond of sisterhood ever changes.
So here's a shout out to all of you wonderful women: Wahoo!
