Luckily our tomato plants are still alive and well. I guess all the rain we missed out on happened to be terrific for our plants.

We've been home for almost a week now. We spent almost three weeks visiting and playing in Utah. Now that I am home I realized I didn't take nearly so many pictures as I ought to have. Here are a few higlighting some of our adventures...
HIKING ADAMS CANYON (a favorite and near home. If you want to hear my crazy YW story about hiking here as a beehive leader ask me sometime. I might have to first roll my eyes though.)

Doug and Emmy's (a favorite high school hangout especially when sluffing school. They have the best gigantic sweet rolls and scones. I miss good diners!)

Baby Macfarlane (My super awesome friend Charity had her little boy July 10th. I was so happy to be there and see him in person.)

Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah (I think my favorite part was their awesome rock collection although I was too fascinated to take any actual pictures.)

Fishing in Left Hand Fork-Fillmore (Zac and his Dad have often taken special trips to this place. Not many people know about its location and it is all but impossible to get to. This makes for great fishing...throw your line in and you pull out a fish...no kidding! The first few pictures are of the boys, Zac and his Dad catching grasshoppers for bait. I let them do all the dirty work.)

Did I mention I had the opportunity to experience the night in a hammock? Oh Yeah! That's exactly how I felt...

Cabin Trip Wyoming: We joined my family at my brother-in-law's cabin just outside Alpine, Wyoming on the Palisades reservoir. It was a blast! We floated the Salt River, jumped off the bridge at McCoy Creek (where Zac chipped his Tibia), four-wheeled, and laughed a ton. We also made it in to Jackson Hole in time to see their shoot-out. It inspired all eleven of the grandkids to get toy guns. That evening was filled with clicks and clacks and cowboys and shoot-outs of their own. Unfortunately, I had so much fun I forgot about my camera until we lined the kids up for a cousins picture on our way out. My sisters have some pictures posted here and here if you would like to see a few more. Otherwise it is just the one of the grandkids being very uncooperative.

Hogle Zoo with Sean and Tiffany Fletcher and kids. (Best of Luck to you! I'm excited about the book. Tiffany is on the verge of publication. I'll post more about it later.)

Ogden City's Pioneer Day Parade: Again no photos 'til after it was all over (and Cherri will kill me for this but I wanted one of her anyway). The other picture is of my Mom, Tyson and two nieces. The parade was great. I loved the tractors! Yep, still a bit of a redneck. I'll include a picture of Zac's truck (my favorite) as well. It's been three years and still hasn't sold. Too bad. It was a great truck!

We also spent a couple of days at Lagoon (one with the Trimbles one with my Mom and even Zac's cousin Bonnie), floated the Weber River(Zac did), sat around and chatted with family and friends, received free haircuts (thanks Jodes), swam at Brandi's, witnessed another hole in Garrett's head-ripe for stitches, had a fun date night without kids and watched a cool lightning storm, enjoyed a 24th BBQ with Zac's Aunt and cousins, had some amazing ice cream at the two rival Baskin Robbins stores in Layton and Bountiful (my sisters work at each of those two places and vie constantly for whose store is best), rode Cherri's horse, played mini-golf with Traci and Kevin while she was out to here pregnant, joined my Mom and five of her sisters and family for a 14 mile bike ride, and cried at the airport after having received phone-photos of my brand new neice born just before I reached the airport. She was born while I was still in Utah but unable to go and see her in person. Congrats Traci and Kevin! You just keep showing her my picture and tell her I'm her favorite aunt to prepare her for my next visit!

Looks like you guys had fun, I wish we had had more time in UT, we didn't see hardly anyone we had meant and wanted to... thanks for sharing the pic. of Char and fam. Ian is so big! Crazy! PS I just saw the dress you wore to the MIT gala thing, it was so pretty! I love it!
Wow! I miss guys already and didn't really get to say goodbye before you left for home. It was fun seeing you guys. I really wished you were closer. Bailey loves Timmy. It made a great break from the screaming and whining whenever he would take her. Love you guys and can't wait to see you again.
Welcome back! Those falls look so cool. I also want to eat those scones; nobody back here can make them like that.
