This move to Hawaii has been pretty hard on me. I miss Massachusetts so much! I miss my friends, my ward, Wellesley college, MIT, volleyball, my home, my neighbors the area--everything! On Sunday, during the Relief Society lesson, the instructor played part of the Rascal Flatts song, "My Wish" (Songwriters: Jeffrey Steele;Stephen Robson). The words really touched me. Here is part of the lyrics:
I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow
And each road leads you where you want to go
And if you're faced with a choice and you have to choose
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you
And if one door opens to another door closed
I hope you keep on walkin' til you find the window
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile
But more than anything, more than anything
My wish for you
Is that this life becomes all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold
And while you're out there gettin' where you're gettin' to
I hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too
Yeah, this is my wish
I hope you never look back but you never forget
All the ones who love you and the place you left
I hope you always forgive and you never regret
And you help somebody every chance you get
Oh, you'd find God's grace in every mistake
And always give more than you take
...
Just a reminder that I have to keep going and look for my "window."
I do still miss MA though, something fierce.

Massachusetts misses YOU! :(
Hey - miss you too! I was at Girl's Camp and kept thinking "where's Amy!!!!" I hope you learn to love Hawaii as much as you learned to love MA! How are the boys doing?
Ditto Ellen's comment.
WE MISS YOU!!! Conor got your cool postcard today and loved it. How thoughtful. We are having Conor's baptism at Crane Beach, just like Tyson's. We've been thinking of you as we have planned each step.....
Amy, I miss you so much. I keep your thank you card from nationals as my bookmark in my journal and see it every night when I write things down. Makes me happy to think I will probably see you next May at least!
We do miss you guys a lot also. You're one of those move outs that will always leave a hole in the ward that can't ever be really replaced, and I still haven't found another piano teacher! The YM is especially missing Tim. We are combining with Lynnfield now which is kind of a pain but nice of them to have higher numbers.
