Great Movie, Good Feelings

I just finished watching the movie, "The Jane Austen Book Club." I LOVED IT! It is one of those movies you walk away from feeling happy and satisfied. Perhaps it is because they discuss Jane Austen and her novels. Who doesn't love those amazing books! The stories fill you up and add a richness to your life, just by reading her words (a little cheesy-I know). Maybe it was the great, bluesie song the movie ended with. It literally made me have to get up and move around, granted I ended up doing jumping jacks and the like, but it felt great! Man, I just love ending the day on a good note!

Lost a Tooth

Sunday night Tyson pulled out his first loose tooth! He was quite surprised. He told me it was very wiggly and he wished he could just pull it out. "Why don't you just pull it out then," I told him absently. He reached his little fingers in and yanked out the pearly, little thing. The look on his face was priceless. I was also a bit astonished with his nerve. It was the tiniest tooth I've ever seen. We washed it off and put it under his pillow. The tooth fairy was quick to remember about the tooth this morning as Tyson was waking up (phew). He slipped his quarters into his piggy bank and that was that-on with the day!

Influenza

Are we the lucky family or what? All four of us are sick right now with the influenza, not just the flu. Ughh! It's fevers, acheys, croupey coughs, phlegm, and the chills. I don't remember ever feeling this awful before. We should have gotten our flu shots!

Happy Birthday Amy

I had my birthday last week and my sister, Brandi and her daughter flew out to celebrate with me. Zac was very kind and let me throw myself (sad I know) another birthday party. Does that say wonderful husband or what-getting kicked out of the house by a bunch of girls. It was actually my turn for a Stampin' Up party. I figured the two events would mesh well. They did. While Zac and the boys headed over to the Thorntons for some "game time" I had a blast with some friends scrappin' stampin' and talkin'. Three of my favorite subjects. People trickled out hour after hour until it was down to me, Brandi, Rolana and Sarah. About 4am Sarah decided she better get home to her better half and after one more hour I decided to be quiet and let Rolana try to sleep as well. Thanks everyone for a great night and a wonderful birthday!

I also introduced Brandi to New England's fine sport of Candlepin Bowling. We ripped up the lanes and watched the kids chuck balls every which way. I think her appreciation of the game was great indeed by the end of the night.

We had so much fun. It was hard to say good-bye, but it was quick 'cause she didn't want to miss her flight! Brandi is awesome! Thanks little sis! Love you!
