The Busy Life
I knew starting out that this year was going to be a bit busy, but after marking out our afterschool schedule with our kids it seems a bit overwhelming. One bad half-hour will throw everything out of balance. Our white board is covered with times, events, and arrows linking what everyone will be doing. It looks pretty scary. I saw this youtube video on a friend's blog about rushing through life with our kids. It really hit home. I have a goal to be mentally present when I'm with my kids. The video only strengthens my convictions. Let's hope for the best!

Good luck! I know that you all work hard and everything you do is not out of selfishness. It will all pay off in the end. We love and miss you!
I liked that youtube video and I totally agree! This morning both my kids slept in a bit and we only had 15 min. to get to school. I just figured OH WELL --- so what if we're late! I was a very stressed out child about school so I guess I'm overly sensitive to that with my kids. Hang in there with all your busy schedules!!! We'd love to have Tyson over to play again some time. Conor and Megan would love to hang out with him. :)
